The name of my book is " The Old Willis Place" by Mary Downing Hahn. This book is fiction with scary people. People of the dead with dark alleys and black cats. People with a never ending death. All ofthis will happen at the Old Willis Place by the woods.
In this story a mysterious figure starts a friendship with a human. But this figure is only afraid of one thing. Breaking these rules.
Rule one: Do not let anyone see you.
Rule two: Do not leave Oak Hill Manor.
Even though they are not the only one of their kind. There is one more, Miss Lilan. Later, the figure and its new friend, Lissa, went to the old willis place. They were looking around the house when they discovered the parlor door.

I will finish this later!!!!!

13 unicorns
My book 13 unicorns is by W.D. Newman and is a great book. It’s filled with adventure and suspense. The main characters are Ben and Cassy. They both live in the city but when they are told they must spend some time with their grandparents their whole summer changes. Their grandparents lived in Tennessee on a small farm. They love their grandparents and could not wait to go. Once they get there they learn some interesting secrets about their family.
Ben and Cassy live with their dad. Their mom was involved in a bad car accident and put her in a coma. She now lives in a nursing home. The kids visit her 2 times a week. Ben is a 5th grader and Cassy is an 8th grader. The school just ended and their dad has told them that he has to go on a business trip to Chicago all summer. Once the kids get to grandmas she already has lunch and grandpa comes out from the barn. They all eat lunch together. That night dad had to leave for the airport. The kids both said good bye knowing they would miss him greatly. Once dad left the kids went inside to rest after their 6 hour drive. They plopped in front of the TV and turned a cartoon. Ben walked out to get some sodas and that’s where he seen it. Grandma had gone into the bamboo patch and when she came out a flash of light virtually blinded ben. He ran to get Cassy and she said he was crazy. When grandma came in the kids asked her what she was doing and she pretends that she didn’t know what they were talking about. Then she gave in and said they would talk about it tomorrow. The next morning grandma woke them up early to go to the market. They both got up in a flash and were ready to go. Once they got to the market the kids looked at everything. Soon they left. Cassy had bought a necklace, ben bought a model plain and grandma bought some veggies. They went out for pizza for lunch. Grandma finally started talking about the bamboo. Grandma told them that inside the bamboo was a secret tree to Camelot. The kids thought she was crazy. But she was telling the truth. She said that when you went to the bamboo that the tree transported you to the magical world of Camelot. Grandma told them she had been going there for many years. She also told them to never go in the bamboo by yourself. Ben wanted to go badly but Cassy on the other hand was not the same way. Grandma agreed to take them on Sunday. She told them to say nothing to their grandpa because he didn’t know and he would chop down the tree.
One of my favorite parts of this book is when ben sees grandma go into the bamboo the first time. The author describes his face very well and he is shocked. I liked this book a lot.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery. The book is a long book so be reading to be on it for a while. Ben and Casey are great characters and W.D. Newman is great at describing them. This was a great book.

This is mine continued.

They didn't want to go inside the door but something happened to Lissa. She opened the door and a ghost got out and started chasing them. They ran to Lissa's house and shut the door. BAM! Awhile later, the ghost was looking for the figure. The ghost found it and was chasing it through the woods. Suddenly the figure tripped and the ghost caught it.
I loved this book because it had everything I wanted. A mystery, weird things, and haunted houses. I think other people should read this book because it's a real thriller. I would give this book a 9 out of 10.

My book is Point Blank. Point Blank was written by Anthony Horowitz, along with many other mind-blowing stories. For example, Stormbreaker was his first book, and one of my favorites. All of his books are centered on fourteen-year-old Alex Rider who has an adventure you will never forget! This action-filled adventure will keep you guessing and put you on the edge of your seat! I sure was!
Alex Rider is sent to a building called Point Blanc because the building he works for, M16, thinks it has to do with the death of Micheal J. Roscoe, a rich and famous man, who died a few weeks ago. But no one knows how. As Alex is wandering the halls, he notices some guards carrying a kid into the library that looks just like his friend, James Sprintz, and disappears. Alex decides to forget about it and heads back to his room before he could get caught. The next day, Alex notices something is different about his friend, James Sprintz. Alex explores the building and discovers that the second floor is an exact replica of the first floor where all the kids' rooms are. After finding that out, Alex does some more exploring and discovers a secret elevator in the walls of the library. Alex takes the evaluator to the basement and sees a dungeon of kids. Alex examines the kids and sees his friend in one of the cells. Will Alex get caught? That's up to you to find out!
My favorite part of the book is when Alex finds out that the second floor is the exact same as the main floor. Also, in all of the rooms is a camera watching their every move! If I were Alex, I would be so bewildered! I would ask so many questions as to why they would need to watch us, and what they were planning on doing, and why the floors are exactly the same!
If you like action, adventure, and a thrill, I recommend this book. You will love Alex Rider's adventure in Point Blank and all of Anthony Horowitz great books. It's filled with excitement!

The book I read this month was In The Middle of The Night by Robert Cormier. I have to admit it scared me a little. It's a perfect Halloween scare! Just don't read this at night trust me. Its an awesome fiction book, the book is like a puzzle and you have to put it together to understand it.
There are two plots in this story. John Paul went to work at the theater. He was in charge of telling people where to go and getting them to their seats. He had to go to balcony to check what the creek was and used the matched to see and then the nightmare began. The other plot is when Denny went to school one day. This one seemed diffrent. Some boys were having a fight one day and a girl comes and breaks it up. Who was she? You have to read to find out.
My favorite part of this story was when Denny gets a call at 3:15. A person named Lulu. There was one thing Denny didn't know about her, she wants revenge. He thought of her as a nice, kind person, but he was wrong. It was all a trap.
If you love mystery, scary, spooky books this is the one. I loved this book for so many reasons. I don't think 6th graders should read it because it had some language and it was a little hard for me to put this puzzle together. 7th and 8th graders it will be good. Watch out and don't get a frieght!

The book Beware the Deep Dark Life, was written by: Kat Falls in the Year 2010. The genre of the book is Fiction. Yes, this is a book I would recommend to someone who is into adventure, because the main character goes on an adventure that is so amazing. This book has changed my opinion on the Deep Sea’s and oceans. The book has created a breathtaking world where the deep can be dangerous, the darkness can be deadly, and sometimes it takes power to survive. In the book, the main character Ty lives underwater with his family. Ty’s family grows a farm underwater, because the top (land) has been polluted with garbage due to dumping on land. Ty has lived his whole life underwater (first baby born). Ty goes exploring one day on a ship that has been abandoned for about a week. On the ship he meets a girl named,”Gemma”. Gemma has long braided dark hair and is about 15 years old (same age as TY). Gemma has been looking for her brother who was part of the crew. Will Gemma find her brother? The story of the ship wreck can be found later in the story. My favorite part was when Ty finds Gemma. Ty was walking around the sunken ship, and he heard a noise. He turned on the flashlight and quickly hid in a safe spot (behind the crates). Ty called out, “who is this”. And Gemma introduced herself. Again it’s a book I would recommend to someone who LOVES adventure. This book is now one of my favorites.

If you like realistic fiction this is the perfect book for you! This is a very interesting book because it is more like a teenagers book. It doesn't matter if you are not a teenager yet because it is so interesting that you will like it. This book is called The Uglies the author is Scott Westerfeld. They are also going to make a movie, I think it is going to be as interesting as the book. This book is about a girl who wants to turn sixteen so she can become a pretty! While all her friends turned pretties she wished she could become a pretty too. She says that when your a pretty they invite you to parties! You can go to sleepovers whenever you want. When one day she went to The Rusties it is a place that it is ugly and everything it is mostly made of metal anyways she had spotted a girl looked like her age and was also spying on the pretties just like her. They started to talk and they became friends and the amazing thing was that they both had the same birthdays the same date and year! Now they could turn pretties together and not leave one alone. The story takes place in ugly town and pretty town some of it at The Rusties. When during mid-night she had left to pretty town. She had left to pretty town because she was tired of ugly town. When she got to pretty town she went to a party but she got dirty! She grabbed a mask that she had found so that they would see her since she wasn't a pretty and the party was only for pretty people. The only reason she went to the pretty town was because she was going to see a freind that was going to turn pretty so, she wanted to see him. When she got to the party she was very dirty everyone laughed at her she saw people pointing at her face so, she got embarrassed and ran for the door. During the middle of the story she wasn't sure if she should become a pretty. If you think she is or is not read this book to see what happens. My favorite part of the book was when she was on top of the rollercoaster tracks and she almost fell! A funny part in the story was when Tally grabbed a mask and it was a mask with a pig's face. I also think the part when Tally had found a new friend and were the same age and same date was a favorite part because now Tally has a new friend and they could both turn pretties at the same time so none of them leaves one alone. Another part of the story that was funny was when Tally acts weird and silly like a someone from a comedy show. This part was a favorite part how Tally was hoverboarding and she kept falling and then she almost slipped. If you like realistic fiction then you will like this book because it has lots of interesting parts. I recommend this book becsuse it is descriptive so you can picture it in your head. If I had to rate it I would rate it 8 out of 10 because some word were vocabulary words and I didn't understand them. If you do read this book I hope you enjoy as much as I did?

The book I read is “Uglies” by Scott Westerfeld. This book is fiction. It is about this girl, Tally, who grows up in this place called Uglyville. In Tally’s world, when people turn sixteen, they get an operation to become pretty. Tally was waiting to become pretty her whole life, but when she finally is sixteen, something goes wrong.
Tally has been friends with this boy, Peris. He turns pretty three months before her, so she is kind of lonely in Uglyville. Tally sneaks over to New Pretty Town to see Peris, but it doesn’t go so well. On her way back to Uglyville, she meets this girl Shay. They become friends, and they learn they have the same birthday. Which means they would turn at the same time, but the night before the operation Shay tells Tally she doesn’t want to be pretty. She leaves Tally this note with these directions written in code form to the place she is going, Smoke. The next day Tally goes to get the operation, but she can’t. She is taken to Special Circumstances, and they question her. They tell her another ugly went missing last night, meaning Shay. Tally tells them she doesn’t know anything, and a woman tells her she can either fess up or never become pretty. Tally decides to tell them what she knows. She shows them the note, but they went through her stuff and copied it already. Tally says, “Well what do you need me here for? I know just as much as you do.” A man tells Tally, “You are going to find the Smoke. We have been searching for a long time. Here is a heart pendant when you open it, it will scan your eye and tell us your location.” They sent her on her way, once she finally finds the Smoke, the Smokies scanned her for any trackers. The only one they found was in her board, which is normal, the pendant didn’t set off the scanner. They take her back to the Smoke, and teach her the way the Smokies live. She ends up falling in love with David, and she decides not to turn in the Smoke. For two reasons, this is a lot of peoples homes, and she learned that in the operation the doctors inject a thing called lesions into your brain, changing the way you think. So she destroys the pendant, and goes to sleep. The next morning Special Circumstances is there, they bring her to the people she talked to before. They told her if the pendant was destroyed it sent off a signal immediately, so they ask her where it is. She says she activated it and then hid it; they ask her to go get it. Instead she flies away on a hover board. She finds David, and they decide to wait a day and then go back. They did that and nobody was there. Read the rest of the book to see what happens!
My favorite part is when Tally decides not to turn in the Smoke. I like that part because she learns that everybody is pretty with or without the operation. Then when she goes to sleep and wakes up a lot of action happens. That makes it very interesting, and a ‘on the edge of your seat’ book. What makes that part even more interesting is Tally gets away.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes kind of dramatic, or books that have action. This book is filled with a bunch of action and adventures. I thought this book was very good, and I am thinking about reading the rest of the series!

The name of my book was "The Graveyard Book". This is a fiction book by Neil Gaiman. what this book is about is a boy named Nobody Owens, or Bod for short, who lives in a graveyard with his guardians who are ghosts, Mr. and Mrs. Owens and another ghost Silas because his family was murdered when he was very young by a man named Jack. If you want to know more about this book, then keep reading.
At the beginning of the book, Bod, the main character, is a baby. It is night time and a mysterious man is in Bod's house. He stabs the mom and dad and Bod's sister. Bod somehow gets out of his crib. The man named Jack is still looking for him. Bod crawls out of the house and up the hill to a graveyard. As the man is still looking for Bod, the ghosts in the graveyard find Bod. They are clueless of how he got here and are wondering where his parents are. At that time, the ghost of Bod's mom shows up while all the ghosts are arguing. She says that they must protect Bod from the man Jack. Two ghost, Mr. and Mrs. Owens, claim that they will act as the parents and Silas, will be a guardian. The rest of the chapter is about the man Jack trying to get into the graveyard. he tells the night guard that he is looking for a small boy. The night guard tells Jack that there wouldn't be a baby here and he should look somewhere else and Jack agrees and leaves. The next chapter is when Bod is five through seven years old. In chapter, he meets a new friends. Her name is Scarlet and her mom sits on the bench done the hill from the graveyard. Scarlet's parents just think that Bod is imaginary. Also in this chapter, the ghost Silas starts to teach Bod his ABC's and his numbers and other ordinary learning stuff for Bod's age. Also, Bod is becoming curious about the tomb stones and all of the people and stuff like who the oldest person is in the graveyard. Both Bod and Scarlet are very adventurous. Bod has the Freedom of the Graveyard which means he may go anywhere he wants to. So, Scarlet suggests that they go in the hill. They go in this hill and it's all dark and they are going down the steps. Scarlet is a little worried, but Bod on the other hand isn't scared. Then, a man comes out and tells them to leave. Bod doesn't want to because he tells the man that he has Freedom of the graveyard. They call this man "The Indigo Man". They call him this because he looks like he has blue tattoos all over him. They both eventually get scared and leave because they start hearing noises. Scarlet and Bod become good friends, but a couple weeks later she says she is moving because her father got a job offer in another country. So, Bod moves on and Silas keeps teaching him. a couple months later, Silas is going on a little trip. Silas has a woman names Mrs. Lupescu watch Bod. Bod doesn't want Silas to leave. Mrs. Lupescu is not nice and feeds Bod food he is not familiar with. She teaches Bod hard things for his age and expects him to know a lot of stuff that he doesn't know. Bod hates this. He goes to sleep and has a wild dream. When he wakes up, he is being taken somewhere by Ghouls. Bod has no clue where he is going and all he wants to do is go back. The Ghouls say they are the most powerful, strongest, and best people in the world and that Bod is going to become one of them. One night they are sitting by the fire celebrating something and Bod still wants to go home. Then, he falls asleep and wakes up to all of the Ghouls scared and all of them are freaking out. Bod is confused and they grab Bod and put him in a bag. Bod cuts a hole in the bag and he falls out if the bag and the Ghouls keep going. This is where the beginning of the climax comes in so I'll stop here. If you want to know what happens in the rest of the story, you should read it because it's an interesting book.
My favorite part of the book was when Scarlet and Bod go in the hill and the Indigo man was done there. I liked this part because it was very interesting and I didn't know what was going too happen next so I was excited to keep reading and see what happens. I also liked when the Ghouls kidnapped Bod. When Bod cut the hole in the bag and fell out is where I stopped because I was shocked of who was chasing them and all of the stuff that happens after that.
I would recommend this book for anyone who likes mystery books. This is not actually a mystery, but the things that happen make it seem like a mystery of what will happen next. Out of ten I would rate this book an eight. It was a really good book and I loved every part of it. So I highly recommend this book for you if you like mystery sorts of books!

My book I read was Mocking Jay by Suzanne Collins. The genre of this book is fiction. This book is about a 17 year old girl named Katniss Everdeen that got out of the Hunger Games for the second time and she has to protect District 13 from the Capitol.
The resolution of this book is Katniss and Gale in a Hovercraft on their way to district 13 but first they stop at district 12 so Katniss can see what's left of it after the Capitol blew it up. Katniss, Gale, Plutarch Heavensbee (the head game maker), and his calculating assistant, Fulvia Cardew all go looking for Katniss's prep team for the hunger games to help stop the Capitol from destroying not only district 12 but district 13 as well. When they do find them they are all beat up and chained to walls in a room that they can't escape. The guards that are guarding the room won't let Katniss's prep team leave. So Katniss sneeks past them and tries to help them escape but she gets caught and she orders the guards to let them go and they did. Katniss makes a lot more orders like her and Gale can go hunting. On the list of orders she had, one order was to kill President Snow. Some of her orders happened like when she ordered that her and Gale could go hunting. But her order to kill President Snow didn't happen.
My favorite part of this book is when Katniss got to see her mother and sister again after the Hunger Games. That part of the book was my favorite because it reminded me when my mom went to Florida for 3 weeks and when she came back I was so happy to see her again.Thats not my only favorite part. My other favorite part was when Peeta said that the Hunger Games shouldn't continue. That part was my favorite too because nobody wants to see their own children die in a arena with about 20 other children fighting for the capitols amusement . I highly recommend this book to anyone that likes fiction books because it is so good that you wouldn't want to stop reading it.

I read the mystery book The Mailbox by Audrey Shafer. Audrey Shafer writes with feeling and description. In this book you are never going to know what is going to happen next. The Mailbox is about a 12 year old boy, Gable Culligan Pace, that has to live with his Uncle Vernon, because his mom left him and his dad died. Gable did not know that his uncle has secrets.
Uncle Vernon, who was in the war, has a prosthetic leg and is very unfriendly. It was the second day of sixth grade when Gable was coming home from school he noticed that Uncle Vernon was laying dead on the floor. He leaves the body there and then he goes to school the next morning. When he gets to school he is trying to not think about Uncle Vernon. Gable gets home from school and there is a letter in the mailbox and on one side it says, “I have a secret” and on the other side it says, “Do not be afraid.” He walks in the the house and he sees that the dead body of Uncle Vernon is gone. Gable is trying to figure out what to do about no having a parent or guardian living with him. So Gable lives on his own.
My favorite part of the book is when Gable goes to school and they are talking about there first book report. They have to read a book and Gable picks to read The Call of the Wild and the teacher asks why do you think is it called that. Then Gable jumps up on the seat and does the Tarzan call. Gable thinks he is in trouble, but that was the correct answer the book is about apes and monkeys and the wild, the teacher says. The teacher pulled him off to the side but just to tell him to never do the again.
I would really recommend this book to many people that love mystery stories and the like unpredictable books. Audrey Shafer is a really good writer. I really was on the edge on my seat when I read this book. The Mailbox is filled with excitement and mysteries.

My book, Attack of the Vampire Weenies, was a good book. This book was by the author: David Lubar. The genre of the story was horror. This book was a bunch of short, scary stories that make you shiver. If you are a person who likes horror, then this is definitely the book for you. I chose this story out of the book because it was my favorite out of all the other stories.
There were 3 main characters in the story that I chose. These characters were: the main character who’s name is he throughout the story, Dalton, and Tammy. The main character whose name isn’t introduced in the story is a young boy, who is obsessed with comic books and video games. Dalton is Tammy’s boyfriend, and he is nothing but a teenage jerk. Tammy is the character’s sister. The setting is Tammy and the character’s house. It started the night of Tammy’s party with her friends. She was having a vampire party at her friend’s house. The main character, who, from now on I’m going to call “he,” said that vampires don’t have fun, they suck your blood. He thought that they couldn’t be vampires if they did not follow the rules of being a vampire. He then figured out that they were going to have a party at his house that weekend, so he got a lot of supplies that could kill a vampire. He had made a poster that had everything a vampire wouldn’t want to hear on it. He figured that he would “invite” a vampire to the party and show them what foul creatures they really are, and then he would swoop in and kill the vampire. That night, he saw who he thought was the vampire. He was coming; he got to the door and asked to come in. He really wasn’t the vampire, he was his helper. He was just there to get all of the supplies to kill the vampire out of the way for the count. The fake vampire had gotten everything out of the way. I wonder what happened next…? You’ll have to find out yourself, and read the book.
I kind of liked the book because it was funny and scary. I’m not the type of person who likes “scary” stuff, but it was still a good book. I think that you will like the book, though. It had a good plotline throughout all of the stories. You should read the book!
You’ll like this book if you like horror because it has some pretty creepy things in there. You will also like this book if you like comedy. This book was overall hysterical. I laughed throughout every story. You should definitely read this book!

For my book report I did was Diamond Willow by Helen Frost, the genre was mysterious. This book was about a girl who wants to go dog sledding, but makes her dog go blind. And that was the families best sledding dog, The family was going to put down the dog, but the daughter, Diamond, would never let that happen so, she tries to save the dog,
In Diamond Willow, A girl named Diamond wants to go dog sledding all by herself, no help at all. Her parents were not sure, but said okay. While Diamond was sledding with all the dogs and one of the best dogs they had, she was going to fast and didn’t realize there was going to be a large accident with her sled by going too fast. Well, she crashed into a tree and the best dog was injured badly. She didn’t have a first aid kit, so she had to do things on her own. When she got home, her dad could not even look at her. He was so angry at her. The family decided to put the dog down, Diamond would not let that happen so she went sledding with her friend and the dog to her grandmother’s house. The family was horrified they left. So, they all went looking. When they got home, they were not going to put the dog to sleep, and the daughter found something out. Read to find out the ending!
My favorite part of the book was probably the ending. It was very strange and had a strange twist. I really can’t say much because it gives away the ending. But it reminds me of old tails, and strange stories my grandma told me about, like about different kinds of people. So, that was cool.
I recommend this book to people who like dogs, strange endings, or easy level books. It’s kind of a short book and is easy to understand. Also, it tells a story about a loving family who adore dogs. And the ending is so good, and gives such a twist. So, personally, it’s a good book almost for anybody. I thought the book was really good! So, you should really read it!

The title of the book i read is called "I Know What You Did Last Summer." The author of the book is Lois Ducan. I think this would be a good book for people who like scary books, because this is a scary book.
One morning a girl named julie got a letter in the mail. The letter said that she got excepted into a collage. So when she was leaving for school she found another letter on the table. So she picked it up and read it. The note said "I know what you did last summer." So she called over her friends the next day, and they talked about the note. so the next day her and her friends were driving and they hit someone walking by. So they kept driving untill they found the next pay phone. Then they called an ambulince, and they found out the person died.
This reminds me of the time before i read the book i was watching tv. The show i was watching had somebody that got hit by a car, and the driver didnt stop like the kids in this book. The next morning an ambulince showed up to the body, and they pronounced the person dead, and the police were looking for the driver just lik in the book.
I would recomend this book to somebody who likes suspence. I would do so because this book has a lot of it. So if your reading this and you lik books with suspence get this book!

For my book report I did Wait till Helen Comes by Mary Downing Hahn. This book was a ghost story. This book is very interesting because it involves a little girl becoming friends with a ghost that was dead over a hundred years ago. You should read this book if you like to read ghost stories and mysteries.
The book was about how this family a mom, a son named Michael which was about 8 years old, a daughter named Molly which was about 12 years old, there stepdad, and his daughter named Heather which was about 7 years old. They used to live in a regular town but decided to move into the country. They moved into a church that had an attachment on it so there was rooms like a regular house, had no neighbors, and has lots of land. Once they moved Molly, Heather, and Michael explored the land and when they explored they found a forest in the back yard, a river, and a graveyard. Once they found the graveyard Heather ran into it like it was a play place. After she ran in the graveyard then Michael did and once he went in there he read the tombstones and they said that this graveyard is over 100 years old. Once Michael and Heather went in there Molly was too scared to and just yelled, “Come on guys lets go to mom and dad.” Once she said that they came out and they all ran and told their mom and dad. So after they finished unpacking that night the whole family went to the graveyard. Once they got there they read the tombstones. After they all read them they went back to their house and went to sleep. The next day Molly, Michael, and Heather were awakened by the sound of a lawn mower. They all got up, got ready for the day, and checked out who was mowing the lawn which turned out to be the graveyard person that takes care of it. They all introduced themselves and asked many questions about the graveyard and tombstones. Then they found a mysterious tombstone buried on a trees roots which was very odd. So the graveyard person said to stay away from that tombstone till he finds more facts about it. The next day Heather ran into the graveyard and went by the tombstone that they weren’t suppose to go by and was talking to it. When Molly went out there to read her book she heard Heather talking to someone and went by where she was and found out that she was by the tombstone that they weren’t suppose to go by. The next few months Heather was talking to Helen the ghost and the whole family was trying to help her get away from her but they couldn’t. Until something bad happened to Heather because she became friends with the ghost Helen.
My favorite part of the book was when Heather became friends with Helen and Molly and Michael were freaking out and were trying to help her but she kept threatening them say that Helen can go after them. That was my favorite part because at that time it was funny and scary at the same time.
If you like scary books, you will love this book. I recommend this book to you because this book was a very interesting book and gave very descriptive details about everything. I personally love this book and maybe you should try it one day!

The Chipper

The title of my book is called The Curse of the Campfire Weenies by David Lubar. There are many stories in the book and the one I chose was The Chipper. The books are supposed to be scary but most of them are funny. The story is about a kid who goes to his friend Tom’s house and finds out he has a chipper. Then the kid gets scared because he thinks the chipper will attempt to kill one of them.
Tom wants to play with the chipper and chop wood and sticks up with it. Then he gets cut by it and the kid gets really scared. The next day, Tom’s mom tells the main character that Tom has had an accident and the main character thinks the chipper did it. Turns out Tom just fell down the stairs and broke his ankle. Then, Tom’s mom tells the main character to finish cutting up the logs with the chipper.
The boy does all of the lawn work and has no problems with it until he goes to bed. The chipper is in his front lawn! He runs outside grabbing a baseball bat and begins to whack the chipper. Then, the chipper eats the bat and backs away from the house and goes back to Tom’s house. The next night the chipper is back. The boy sees it in the backyard and goes out there and grabs a handful of the first thing he sees. Sand. He throws it at the chipper and the thing sputters and goes back to Tom’s house.
The story is a very suspenseful one and is great for someone who likes an edge of your seat story. It is a story for someone who wants a little scary but also funny. It is also a different story because you don’t always see a wood chipper as an antagonist. The series of books is great and just like this one. Funny with a little hint of scary.

Eragon
Christopher Paolini
When young Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his adopted family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatching, Eragon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of inescapable destiny, magical forces, and powerful people. With only an ancient sword and the instruction of an old, mysterious, hermit storyteller for guidance, Eragon and the fledgling dragon must navigate the dangerous terrain and dark enemies of an Empire ruled by a Emperor whose evil and power knows no bounds. Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Riders? Anyone will love this book.
